Three different groups at Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, Ruth Owuor's home church, provided for Mescal's Kids to have a wonderful Christmas.
The Encourager's Sunday School Class provided shoeboxes filled with gifts for each of the 29 children.
Individual sponsors, Harbor Lights' Sunday School Class, and Ruth's Ladies' Bible Study group, provided a new pair of shoes for each child.
Ruth reported that the children were at first confused about the gifts and asked, "who are they for?" They had NEVER had a Christmas present before! After explaining that the gifts were for them to keep, they became overjoyed!
