Ellen was born in Montgomery, Alabama, and still calls the Capital City home! When Ellen was asked what drew her to be a part of the ministry of Mescal’s, she shared the following: “I first heard about Mescal's at Frazer Church. When I became the Director of Missions at Frazer, it was my job to learn about all the ministries that we were supporting. As I learned the amazing work that God and His children were doing at MCCH, I personally began to financially support this ministry as well as through my prayers. My first test of a ministry is who is the leadership and how do they lead. With Mescal's what has impressed me the most is that everything is prayed over before a decision is made. Spirit-led is the only way to do ministry. These precious children are being educated and transformed and their community is being transformed. "
